Jireh's Place Founder
Dr. Shakina D. Rawlings

Dr. Shakina Dunbar Rawlings, a dynamic leader and visionary, is the founder and CEO of S.D. Rawlings Enterprise. Leveraging her diverse gifts and abilities, she has established a multifaceted organization that focuses on ministry, consulting, coaching, merchandise, and her nonprofit, Jireh’s Place. This impactful nonprofit equips young ladies aged 10-23 with essential tools for successful living.
Dr. Rawlings earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from George Mason University and a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University School of Divinity. Continuing her academic pursuits, she achieved a Doctorate of Ministry Degree in Prophetic Preaching for the 21st Century from the United Theological Seminary, with her dissertation focusing on " Leadership Structure and Development of the Church.

Her academic background reflects her passion for cultivating growth and excellence in individuals and organizations. From 2018-2020, she served as an Adjunct Professor at Marymount University in Arlington, VA, delivering courses on Leadership Development. Additionally, she brings over 14 years of expertise in Operations Management, with a proven track record in strategic planning and organizational development.
Since 2015, alongside her husband, Deacon Dawud Rawlings, Dr. Rawlings has pastored Kingdom Church, which has campuses in .Maryland and Virginia. Her unwavering commitment to spiritual empowerment is evident in her literary work, including her debut e-book, Empowering You to Be, a seven-day devotional encouraging individuals to embrace their divine purpose unapologetically.
Dr. Rawlings's leadership and contributions have been widely recognized. She was the sole woman honored by WPRS Praise 104.1 for her pastoral role in 2019 and has received several prestigious awards, including the Keeper of the Community Award (2018), Alexandria Women’s Commission Rising Star Award (2016), Arlington County Schools Honored Citizen Award (2015) for her work with Jireh’s Place, and the Speak Life Youth Leadership Award (2014).
Driven by her passion for empowering others and fostering growth, Dr. Rawlings continues to leave an indelible impact on her community and beyond.
